Can
ServiceTrak be used in a network?
ServiceTrak is set up for network client/server or Peer-To-Peer.
Purchase of the program allows for unlimited use on as many client
machines as needed. The license is valid for one company entity
only. TEC-AID program are in use throughout the world using simple
peer-to-peer network installations and on more complex client/server
network installations and we program for both situations.
However, we are not experts on networking. We recommend that
you test your network using our sample programs. We will be
happy to furnish our connection protocols so that you can test this
segment toughly. We do not offer network support.
Can the service contracts be changed to our
specifications?
Contract can be edited and changed in any way that you want to,
through our built-in text editor, Microsoft Word or WordPad. If you
use our merge method, you will be able to merge all of the contract
information into your service contract form.
Can the information from
ServiceTrak be exported or imported to or from QuickBooks?
ServiceTrak , has a
transfer module that allows for customer and inventory items and
billing information to be transferred to and from ServiceTrak.
ServiceTrak/QuickBooks Interface Program
supports all US versions of QuickBooks for Windows including
QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, up to version 5.0 (does not support
versions 6.0 and 7.0). ServiceTrak/QuickBooks Interface Program
supports QuickBooks Premier and Pro (for QuickBooks 2002 and later).
Can we read the database files in
ServiceTrak?
The database files are written using Microsoft Access and can be
easily accessed, read, edited and updated through ServiceTrak and
through Microsoft Access.
Why does your software packages
cost so much less then similar competitive software packages?
We are a small company and we plan to remain so. We advertise in
two magazines and on the web, we don't have any marketing and sales
people and we don't display at trade shows. We offer complete back
up and support, but are not always on call. We will return all calls
and E-mails as soon as we are able. Keeping our overhead low allows
us to keep our prices low.
What are the System
requirements for TEC-AID Programs?
Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, SQL Server
Some compatibility issues are found with
Vista. Of 12 Computers tested 9 installed correctly and
are running successfully. The others had some trouble
installing or running. We are looking into solutions for this
matter.
